A collection of contemporary fairytales which returns are donated to the National Kinderhulp Foundation (Foundation that helps misfortunate children make their life happier.)

BNO ZuidWest: Animatie

Bart de piraat will be showing his work at a meeting about animation, october 12th at Theater De NWE Vorst, Tilburg.

The conference is organised by the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) Other speakers this evening are JobJoris&Marieke en Ben Heppener.

Be sure not to miss this if you are you interested in animation and curious to know what is involved in the creation of an animation.

BNO ZuidWest: Animatie

Op 12 oktober organiseert BNO ZuidWest weer een bijeenkomst voor haar leden en andere geïnteresseerden. Het thema van deze avond is ANIMATIE.

Drie professionele makers, Bart de Piraat, JobJoris&Marieke en Ben Heppener, geven een presentatie. Daarbij laten zij voorbeelden van hun werk zien en vertellen over wat er bij het maken van een animatie komt kijken. Verder is er volop gelegenheid tot het stellen van vragen, netwerken en naborrelen.

Swim School “De Tuimelaer”

Commissioned by Synocom Ltd. Bart de piraat realised an animation as part of an online video campaign for swim school De Tuimelaer (Bottlenose Dolphin)

The video campagin is set up to inform people about the services that swim school de Tuimelaer offers. The animation is distributed on various media channels like youtube and the website.

De Stripdagen (Comic Days) 2011

I am happy to announce that a few animations by Bart de piraat will be screened this weekend at De Stripdagen (the Comic Days) One of the biggest comic related events in the Netherlands.
Besides comics, artists and anything related to comics there will also be some animations shown at various locations, including animations by Bart de piraat!

Deforestation And CO₂ Emission

Bart de piraat Animations is commissioned by WWF in Netherlands to create an animation that will explain the principles of REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation)

Trees absorb and store carbon from the air. When a forest is burnt down (for instance for agriculture reasons) not only will the carbon stored in these trees be dispersed back in the air but also there will be less trees left that can absorb and store carbon. This means more air pollution from CO₂!

To raise awareness for this question Bart de piraat Animations and Triggerfilm are commisioned by the WWF in Netherlands - also called ‘Wereld Natuur Fonds’ - to develop an animation about this situation.

This animation is being created as we speak and will be published within a few weeks on the website of Wereld Natuur Fonds.
